Vision
Child and Family Resources envisions a world where the emotional welfare of all children and their families is strengthened by the best possible mental health services and community response to problems of daily living.

Mission
Child and Family Resources promotes the psychosocial well-being of children and their families by providing the highest quality mental health assessment and treatment services. This is accomplished in part by enhancing public awareness of child development, child maltreatment, and family violence through consultation, training, and collaboration.







MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
  • Provide counseling to children, adolescents, and their families. Specializing in clinical services for children and parents of children who are victims of trauma, who have experienced maltreatment, and who suffer with childhood psychiatric disorders.


  • Collaborate with community agencies to coordinate treatment planning and offer comprehensive services for children placed in foster care and who have adoption issues.





COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE PRACTICE





FORENSIC SOCIAL WORK
  • Provide clinical and forensic assessments of children and parents for Social Services and The Courts in cases of suspected child abuse and neglect, as well as issues of severe emotional and behavioral difficulties.


  • Regularly serve as an expert witness in all jurisdictions throughout Hampton Roads and Virginia as well as across the United States.







TRAINING AND CONSULTATION SERVICES
  • Provide training to various agencies regarding all aspects of child abuse and neglect, interpersonal violence, forensic social work, and interdisciplinary collaborative practice.


  • Present at national and international conferences on evaluating, treating, and parenting abused children, as well as testifying in maltreatment cases.


  • Administer supervision to Masters prepared social workers and counselors pursuing licensure.
